Chuck Sexton has decades of successful corporate merger and acquisition consulting experience. Prior to founding Sexton Associates, in 1973, Sexton was an executive with Arthur Burck & Company on Wall Street for four years. He has an extensive background in the business, finance, legal, and taxation aspects of mergers and consolidations.
For five years, Sexton was a Vice President of W.T. Grimm & Company, a Chicago-based merger consulting firm, followed by venture capital work in New York as Vice President and Director of Delafield Capital Corporation. Sexton began his career as a research analyst with Glore Forgan & Company in Chicago and served as Assistant to the President of the J.I. Case Credit Corporation, Racine, WI.
Sexton holds BA and MBA degrees from the University of Chicago and served as an officer in the Army Finance Corps.
Jim Throne founded Throne & Company in November, 1980. Earlier, he held management positions in both financial services and product-related businesses. He was one of four founding members of M&A International/U.S.
He was a partner and manager of operations (1978-1980) for Egan, Throne and Associates, York, PA, an investment banking firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions for a diversity of small and large companies.
Previously, he was associated with a home products firm engaged in both manufacturing and retailing operations (1960-1979), eventually becoming president and chief executive officer.
Jim's extensive business experience includes contract negotiation, new product introduction, marketing, personnel recruitment and training.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University, majoring in marketing, with minors in economics and finance.
He is a member of the York County (Pennsylvania) Board of Realtors and has held leadership positions with a number of other professional and community organizations. Included are the Stewartstown (Pennsylvania) Planning Commission and Zoning Hearing Board, and the York County Red Cross. He presently serves as a member of the Stewartstown Borough Authority.
Jim also holds security sales and real estate licenses in Pennsylvania.
